The Fords turned some good lap times at Daytona, but the car still has too many bugs. Despite its technology the GT isnt running away from the Vette. Fastest lap times were within half a second for both teams.

The entire Ford endurance program was so small they stopped after one car. That is the definition of ‘small fashion’. You don’t see Ferrari or Porsche or Audi or Peugeot hype up wins of the past. Because they don’t have to. Now Ford is being all gung-ho about joining the also-ran GT class and I just could not be bothered. Sure, the racing is good and whatnot, but it's not the big daddy LMP1 tech showcase.

They didn’t have the electronic issues, but the Col0tti transmissions in the early GT40s were atrocious. They won one race in their first two years.
